Nö, muß man nicht aber schau dir mal die Fragestellung an....
Habe nur geantwortet und hatte gerade kein Thermometer zur Hand

Hallo zusammen,

bin neu hier und habe mal eine Frage zum Kardan: ist es normal, daß der so warm wird? Ich verbrenne mir zwar nicht die Hand, aber lange Handauflegen is nicht.
Die Super Tenere ist mein erstes Kardan-Motorrad, vorher war (oder ist es immernoch) eine XT600E mit altmodischer Kette

habe Deine Frage mal in diesen Thread verschoben, wo sie schon beantwortet ist: Heißer Kardan ist bei der XT1200Z normal und unbedenklich. Das mit dem längeren Handauflegen muss man sich halt verkneifen

Ich habe nicht auf dem Motorrad 40000 km zu gehen. Kardan ist laut. Die Lager sind ok. Es ist größer Willen. Hat jemand irgendwelche Erfahrungen? OFF fahre ich. Dank

maybe I'm asking too, but I feel that the ST is a bit noisier Kardan (such shocks metal to metal). When I give it to the main stand (not started) and engage a gear, rotate around the back and then forward, it will drive about 5-7 cm.Za defends during a subsequent addition it is sometimes such a metallic sound. I think the bearings and rubber dampers are OK. Thanks

This is absolutely normal and it behaves like any other shaft drive.

Hi asumi,
the cardan and gear box need a small backlash (0,2-0,4mm) , otherwise you will have excessive wear in the transmission part if the gear wheels are very close together. The rear backlash is adjusted by a round shim in the cardan. The front backlash is adjusted by an aluminum washer foil.

Due to the multiple redirection of the transmission (front/rear backlash; gear box backlash), the different backlashes multiply to a total tolerance of your described
5-7 cm tolerance in the wheel.
